Róbert Keszte takes over the coordination of the national functions from Mihály Nagy. In his role as country coordinator, he manages the creation and implementation of the Hungarian, group-wide strategy. The domestic Continental group occupies a prominent place on Continental's global map.
The technology company Continental has appointed Dr. Róbert Keszte, Managing Director of Continental Automotive Hungary Kft. in Budapest, to assume the duties of Country Coordinator of the Continental Group in Hungary as of January 2021, 1. This position has been held by Mihály Nagy, Managing Director of ContiTech Fluid Automotive Hungária Kft. in Makó for the past two years.
In addition to his duties as Managing Director of the Continental factory in Budapest, Dr. Róbert Keszte has taken on the role of Country Coordinator, reporting to Dr. Hans-Jürgen Duensing, member of the Board of Directors of Continental AG.
Dr. Róbert Keszte joined Continental in 2000 as an engineer at the Budapest factory, and then gained extensive experience by managing several departments at the site. He began his international career in 2006 at the group's factory in Sibiu and continued it in 2007 at the Nuremberg headquarters. Following his foreign assignments, he again performed plant management tasks at the Budapest factory, and then from 2010 he managed Continental's electronics factory in Timisoara for 3 years. He returned to Hungary in 2014 as the managing director of the Budapest factory of Continental Automotive Hungary Kft., a task he will continue in the future. In addition to managing the Budapest factory, he took an active role in expanding Continental's activities in Hungary: the establishment of the newly built factory in Debrecen and the Artificial Intelligence development center opened in Budapest in 2018 are also associated with his name. Under his leadership, the Budapest factory has won the "Factory of the Year" award for two consecutive years, in 2018 and 2019, and was among the winners of the "Supplier of the Year 2020" competition, while also actively participating in the Industry 4.0 Model Factory program as a partner of the Hungarian government.

The Continental Group in Hungary currently carries out development, production and sales activities in 10 domestic locations with nearly eight thousand employees, occupying a prominent position on the global map of the German-based group of companies. The managers of the individual Hungarian companies shape their common, national strategy as one Continental, within the framework of which they launch investment and development projects, manage the tasks of key business areas and use the opportunities provided by corporate synergies. The management of national functions such as HR, purchasing and corporate communication at the group level also falls within the scope of the country coordinator (Head of Focus Country).
